Canine Swimming Pool for Exercise and Rehab

In the spring of 2018, we opened Happy Waves! In order to address the growing need within the community for lower-impact forms of exercise, and to provide a unique and fun service to the Greater Portland area, we installed a 13’ x 25’ indoor, heated pool.

As a part of your dog’s daycare day, you can sign your pup up for a “Fun Swim,” guided and supervised by one of our trained staff members. This is a great way to introduce dogs to swimming in a pool, or to fulfill the desires of those water-crazed dogs that can never get enough swim time! Veterinary clearance is required prior to setting up a swim session, for safety’s sake!

Daycare Add-on Pricing: Daycare Clients can add a FUN SWIM for $20 for 20 minutes of swim time or 10 Swims for $180.00

Pool Use Only: Initial Consult 30-50 mins ($50), includes staff member evaluating your dog with being handled, interest in water, and physical abilities. **Following FUN SWIMS will be approximately 20 mins at $35 per session.

In addition to our fun-swim swims, we have partnered with Dr. Christine Fraser, the former state Veterinarian to provide hydrotherapy and rehab options to injured or geriatric dogs, year-round! Our heated pool and state-of-the-art underwater treadmill offer many options for safe exercise for recovering dogs!
